Creative Strategy and Design Management

Background

Best Buy was interested in creating an "entertainment destination" dedicated to movies, music, and games that would meld community and e-commerce. marchFIRST was one of several firms invited to pitch the work. The pursuit included developing concepts to accompany the proposal.


My contribution

I was design manager for the two-week pursuit exercise. Working with our team of designers and Flash developers, we created a demonstration site that showcased the integration of music and movie clips, online ordering, and user feedback functions. marchFIRST hired actors from Second City in Chicago to interact with the demo site and role-play during the proposal presentation.


Results

Due in part to our creative efforts, marchFIRST won the account over competition from Organic, Razorfish, and Agency.
