Web Creative Lead

Background

Steelcase hired marchFIRST to redesign their web site but the project struggled due to lack of local project leadership. I was contacted to join the team, provide creative direction and help get the project back on track.


My contribution

Upon joining the team, I was able to establish rapport with the client and solidify the concept design. After getting sign-off on the concept, I worked with the talented team of designers and a front-end developer to design and build pages for the remainder of the site over a five-month period.


Results

The site was successfully completed and launched. Steelcase.com was named to "B to B Magazine's 2002 NetMarketing List," an annual ranking of the top 100 business-to-business (b-to-b) websites in terms of marketing effectiveness, including such criteria as quality of content, design, ease of navigation and e-commerce. The site also won a Gold Addy Award from the West Michigan Ad Club.
