Background

Walgreens, the leading national retail pharmacy and drugstore, was facing serious competition from online drugstores. The company wanted to leverage its existing brand recognition and "neighborhood feel" to capture and retain online customers. To answer the challenge, Walgreens contracted USWeb/CKS to build a world-class, highly secure pharmacy site.


My contribution

I was the creative lead for two releases of walgreens.com (the Pharmacy and Store Front) over a two and a half year period. Activities included client management, concept design, art direction, and team management for both phases.


Results

Walgreens launched both sites and became the market leader. Walgreens.com has more customers and fills more online prescriptions than any other online drugstore.
